Welcome to Dilebi ("we", "our", or "us"). Dilebi is a gift list app that lets you create, share, and discover gift lists with friends and family. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
By using the Dilebi mobile app (iOS or Android) or website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Profile photo (optional)
- Authentication data via Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In
We do not store your Apple or Google passwords. Authentication is handled securely through their respective OAuth services.
Content You Create
We store the content you create within the app, including:
- Gift lists and items you add to them
- Item reservations you make on others' lists
- Follow relationships between users
- Lists shared with you by other users
Usage Data
We may collect anonymized analytics data to improve the app, including:
- App usage patterns and feature interactions
- Device type, OS version, and app version
- Crash reports and performance data
On Android, we use Firebase Analytics for this purpose. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.
Email Address (Web Waitlist)
If you sign up for our waitlist on the Dilebi website, we collect your email address to notify you when the app is available. We use Resend to send these emails and Supabase to store your email securely.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Dilebi service
- To enable core features: gift lists, sharing, following, and reservations
- To authenticate your identity securely
- To send you app-related notifications (e.g., follow requests, reservations)
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
- To contact you about important updates or changes to the service
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Data Sharing
We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:
- With other Dilebi users: Your name and profile photo are visible to users who follow you or view your shared lists. Item reservations are visible to list owners and other followers (without revealing who reserved what, to preserve surprise).
- With service providers: We use Supabase (database and authentication), Apple, Google, Firebase, and Resend to operate the service. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure. We use row-level security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access data they are authorized to see. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your linked Apple or Google account.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
- Data portability (receive a copy of your data)
